CHRISTINA WATSON

wife of

THOMAS KEITH

agent Dundee

who died 5th April 1840

aged 58 years

regretted by all who knew her

also of the above

THOMAS KEITH

who died 8th July 1849

aged 51 years

and of

a daughter who died

in infancy

also SAMUEL MATHERS KEITH

Eldest son of above

who died in New Orleans

April 29th 1872 aged 44

CHRISTIAN MURDOCH

spouse to SAMUEL MATHERS

was born 27th March 1732

and died the 23rd March 1816

aged 83 years

She lived happily with her husband
in the band of wedlock for
forty nine years and had issue
two sons and four daughters.
The monument was erected
as a memorial of respect and
affection for his revered parents.

By Samuel Mathers their son
and successor in trade
and only survivor of the family
who departed this life the
19th September 1828
54th year of his age

ANN KERR

niece of the late SAMUEL MATHERS

died *5th June 1830 aged 29 years

 

*NOTE : The stone has an error and has 50th carved rather than 5th


Samuel Mathers, Flesher, in Dundee, was born 18th September 1735, and died the 27th April 1812, aged 77 years. Christian Murdoch, spouse to Samuel Mathers, born 27th March 1733, and died the 23rd March 1816, aged 83 years. She lived happily with her husband in the bands of wedlock forty nine years, and had issue two sons and four daughters.
