Erected

By

CHARLES FLEMING

Agent Dundee

and

MARY BEATTS

his spouse

In memory of their two sons who died

in infancy

They glanced our world to see

a sample of our misery

they turned away their languid eye

to drop a tear or two and die . -

sweet babes!

They tasted of life's bitter cup

refused to drink the portion up

but turned their heads aside

disgusted with the taste and died . -

sweet babes!

The above

CHARLES FLEMING

died 19th March 1850 aged 50 years

also

his Grandson

ROBERT McMASTER

who died 11th June 1859

aged one year

and seven months.
